If in the New York City area, here is a suggestion for lunch - The Wall Street Burger Shoppe in Manhattan is selling a burger for only $175.00. For your tab of almost $200 when you add the necessary incidentials, you get a specially prepared Kobe beef burger topped with truffles, fois gras and gold flakes (not the only thing flakey there I guarantee).

This isn't anything...I once saw a lady in Las Vegas pay $2000 for a steak dinner. O.K., that was no lady, it was my wife. We were playing roulette and she thought she had a system of only betting the outside. Starting with just a $5.00 bet and then doubling every time she lost. When she won she would take the money and drop back to the $5.00 bet. If I remember the math correctly you have to lose eight times in a row before your "system" falls apart and you go over the $2,000 maximum outside bet. One would think it hard to lose eight times in a row playing red or black...but believe me it can be done...and she did it. Her last bet was $2,000 - on red. It came up black and I thought we may need to call the EMT's.

The pit boss was a nice guy and gave us a nice steak dinner - and invited us to return afterwards. We didn't.

Live & learn...
