I got Acura 2.5TL.
This is the 1996 model. We got acura exhaust system (http://www.aftermarketperformanceparts.com/acura-exhaust-system.html) problem since
about 30,000 miles.
At about that time, we took our car into the local Acura
dealer for warranty servicing. They had to replace the manifold due to a
faulty weld that was leaking. Now again at about 70,000 miles the same
problem started again.
We unfortunately took our car into the dealer just a
little too late and our warranty was expired. We did at that time ask for
Acura to be contacted and for a request to have this replaced at manufactures
cost be made.
This was not ever done to our knowledge. We just took the car
into a local muffler shop today and had the exhaust system checked out. Sure
enough, he found the exhaust manifold to have a faulty weld. We paid to have
this problem corrected, however we feel that this is most definatly the
manufactors place to pay up.
Professionals contacted have told us that no
car should need 3 manifolds in under 100,000 miles, (if replaced again, it
would be our 3rd.) This is clearly and manufacture problem, if not a
complete design flaw.
