I want to take a moment to introduce myself and to thank those of you who have joined our newly formed Acura forum site. I am Mike Shaw, the forum manager and a long time Acura enthusiast. After playing with American, British and Itallian cars I bought a new Legend when it was introduced. That was my first experience with a Japaneese automobile and it made a lasting impression on me. Now in addition to that Legend I have owned 4 NSX's (currently a 2000 silver Targa), two MDX's, my daughter has owned 3 NSX's, her husband 2 NSX's, and my son a new TL, I can truly say we are familiar with the marque. At one point we were the only "father / daughter / son-in-law" NSX drivers in the world and featured in "Acura Style" magazine.
It is in this spirit that we want to bring to the internet community a way for fellow Acura enthusiast to have a forum to discuss various aspects of the assorted models. That was the birth of www.acuraforum.com. We hope to address issues and topics of interest to all members and have organized the site by specific models for ease in navigating it. Participation is free and we will never span our members. It is a marketplace of ideas, items and information and will be fun as well.
We have many plans for growth including contest, prizes and excitement. Shortly we are introducing the "POTM"...and no Mr. Hefner, that isn't "Playmate Of The Month". We will accept photos from members for "Photo Of The Month". In addition to a prominent spot on the site the winner will receive a gift.
