Just purchased a certfied used 2006 RL. Great driving car. While bringing the car home from the out of town dealer, I drove through an interstate road construction area. There must have been stones on the pavement that hit both left and right fog lights, cracking each lens. One looks like a bb was shot through it and the other has significant breakage. Both lights still work.

Has anyone had similar experience and if so suggested corrective actions. Or am I just SOL and need to get new lights. I do not thing a replacement lense if available.

These fogs should be factory equipment.

Some people put a protective film on their fogs to help prevent breakage. It sort of cushions the blow a little. You may be able to use something like this to put on your fogs now because eventually the bulbs are going to burn out due to the weather that will get in there.

New fogs(compared to some models)are actually reasonable.I show a price of $201.01 each Canadian and you should be able to buy them at your dealer.

Let me know what kind of price you get and I can see if I can beat it for you.;)

I understand TL owners are saying the same thing about the fog lights as well. I don't know if it is the location, quality, or what, but word is that dealers don't have a solution unfortunately. Hopefully someone on the forum will have better insight.

I have not personally seen this issue on any of the current generation RLs that go through the service department at my dealership. Most of the RLs I have seen look perfectly fine.

If you did need to purchase the foglights, I sell them on my dealership website for $123.82 each. Shipping would be $9.99 for a grand total of $257.63 shipped usd.
