I own a black 2006 TL with 6 speed manual. I love this car more than life itself. Its just a year old and I baby this car..

yesterday, on my way home, I was in a accident with a semi truck and my car lost. the right side of my car is smashed in. from the right rear passenger door all the way back.

I took it to Acura this morning and they estimate 5 k in repairs. I will need a right quarter panel, right door skin, rocker pannel, and both front wheels repaired. Its driveable, it just looks bad.

many compliments to Acuraland here in Duluth. they are great people.

it should take 7-10 days to repair and from what they tell me, I wont even notice the repair job was ever made.

I love this car.

My TL 6 speed is finally ready to be picked up from the shop after 1 month of repairs..

My rental car has been a huge Chrysler 300 M. Its like driving a battleship. I am not a big fan of this big American beast.

I miss my little TL 6 speed.

I am glad that you have your car back and all is well. Carland is good to work with and it was probably Tony G. who helped coordinate the repair.

Don't forget to check with your insurance about "diminution in value". Georgia is a State that acknowledges it, no matter who is at fault. See the recent post concerning the subject.

Now, just don't let it happen again...

Mike, always nice seeing you and your family. I saw you and everyone yesterday at Flashback. I was in the red Esprit parked next to your NSX.

Brian, I didn't realize that was you. I wish we had talked more, although I was kept pretty busy watching my grandson. I had a gift for any forum members there and at the next event I want to be sure to give you one.

Thanks for your interest and help with the forum. This is new to me but I am enjoying it!

Hi Brian,
Have you ever had a problem trying to shift into 3rd gear with your car? I bought an 08 Type S 6spd and have experienced problems with it. just wondering.

Hi. Nope, it shifts in each gear like a hot knife through butter on a warm June evening.

it shifts really smooth. is yours hitting the rev limiter or anything like that ?

the gear box on these 6 speed transmissions seem pretty rock solid.

I love this car.
