ASIMO (Advanced Step in Innovative Mobility) is the world's most advanced humanoid robot, with the ability to run, walk forward and backward, climb stairs, turn smoothly without pausing and maintain balance, even while walking on uneven slopes. ASIMO was developed by Honda and can trace it's birth to a program beginning in 1986.
After years of research and develpoment they created an advanced humanoid robot able to function in real world environments. ASIMO is now a star performer at Disneyland and obviously located in Tomorrowland. But what was once considered fantasy is now reality.
There are many videos on the web featuring this marvelous creation of Honda's and well worth viewing. ASIMO is truly an amazing engineering accomplishment.
Now if Honda could just devote a little more time and resources to introducing the next generation NSX, that too would be appreciated! ASIMO, bring me my keys!
