A friend has a 2004 MDX. It is a beautiful SUV. Beautiful that is from the front, from the left side, from the right side, and probably from the top. However, the rear is a different story. Unfortunately my friend backed into a pole. However being the resourceful and somewhat frugal type, rather than take it to a body shop he figured he could do the job himself. This fellow is a professional engineer and a graduate of the “North Avenue Trade School”, also know as The Georgia Institute of Technology. (Tech is located on North Avenue, hence the disparaging reference).
Using a couple of screws and a little epoxy he performed the repair and under the circumstances not too shabby a job. I guess in the automotive vernacular you could say it is a 20 footer”. That is to say that from 20 feet it looks fine. Better make that 50 feet.
I guess that works for him and it is a conversation starter. For me I will stick with a body shop.
