I am driving NSX #4 and recently the latch by the door that opens the hatch covering the engine broke, and this is the first time it has happened with any of my previous Targa's. It is a fairly simple piece but rather than trying to repair it I thought I would just buy a new one. To my surprise this little part is in the $200.00+ range. Consequently I am now using a pair of pliars to open it. Granted it is a $2.00 solution rather than a $200.00 one, but not in keeping with the NSX image.
Here at NSXPO 2007 I have found two others with the same problem...and same solution. My qustions are:
A. Are there many other Targa owners experiencing this?
and B. Is there a better - that is to say - less expensive fix?
