As most forum members are aware, I am luckey enough to have owned four NSX's , with the last a beautiful silver 2000. Although my current daily driver is a very nice Maserati, I miss the NSX and in fact am looking for #5.

While the Maserati has a nicer sound thanks to the Ferrari V8 engine, it's build quality is not up to the standards of the NSX. With currently 28,000 miles I am beginning to worry about upcoming required services on the Maserati. I have an oil change due next week and Ferrari - Maserati of Atlanta charges $380. That covers the oil, filter, crush washer and oh yes, they wash it. It has three drain plugs and some of the under-carriage must be removed to accomplish the change - but frankly $380 is a bit high for an oil change. I never paid that with the NSX.

According to the Maserati forum 30k miles is generally the life of a manual 6-speed clutch. Of course it can very greatly due more to driving styles, conditions, etc. A clutch job runs in the area of $6,000, a lot for a service to my thinking. I'm trying to set a record for number of miles before needing a new clutch.

Anyway, here is one of the last photos of the NSX. The new owner loves it - and I understand why.
