I live in the Atlanta area and last week happened to stop by the Andretti Indoor Karting arena and what a place this is! This is a 100,000 square foot entertainment facility. Among attractions offered are 35 MPH super karts, computerized timing, electronic simulation games, rock wall, billards, bars and food...pretty much covers the gamut of fun.

It is a bit pricey, but they have a large "nut to crack" economically speaking to cover the investment. A $7.00 "annual racing license" is required and the karts run $19.95 for 8 minuits, which goes by real quickly! There are discounts to cut the cost a little, but not by much.

They seem to cater to corporate outings and team building exercises and have a full time staff going after that market. Corporations don't object to the cost so much.

There was an outdoor facility in town with karts that litterally took off like a rocket. Unfortunately it closed due to lack of support. While it was still in business once when Paul Neuman was running in an event at Road Atlanta he visited the karting track and set what at the time was the fastest lap. The old guy still had it!

Places such as this are a neat spot for car club events. Most of us enjoy a quick trip around the track and here it is done safely. Just a suggestion.
