Although there is the beautiful color photo of the TGB SCOOTER on our home page, It seems that a lot of folks are not aware of our contest to win one of TWO being given away. To win all you have to do is either A. make the most number of meaningful post - and we are a little loose on that point, or B. recruit the most numbers of new members. Read our write up for all of the details, but it is easy and FUN!

A good way to begin is to scrool through past topics and add your thoughts on issues where you have an opinion. Pick up the thread and run with it so-to-speak, and you will have a good chance to win one of these GREAT TGB SCOOTERS!

Does one require a motorcycle license to drive one?

Regulations covering scooter's for street use vary by State, but the general guidelines are to be 16 years of age and in most States wear a helmet. Many States also exempt under 50cc scooters from registration, but again you will need to confirm specifics where you live.

Good luck on the contest!

In Canada, it looks like anything 50cc and over requires a license. Well I`m far from having the most posts, so it really is a non-issue. Thanks for the info.

There are quite a few topics already out with many more to follow. Being from Canada give us information based on the Canadian view point. You have until April 15th, so go to it!

Thanks for your input.

P.S. - If anyone gets the connection between "Avis" and "Trying Harder" then you must be old like me. I believe it was their theme in the '60's when they were a distant second in auto rental to Hertz. That was about the time O.J. was doing commercials for one of the two of them - I think it was Hertz.

The ad campaign was very effective and established Avis as a player in auto rentals. If I remember correctly it was the brainchild of Madison Avenue's creative genius Jerry Dela Femina. At that time Jerry and his agency were the ones to watch. They were responsible for Joe Isuzu, singing cats on Meow Mix and a host of others. His famous line when courting Panasonic was a tongue-in-cheek theme - "From Those Wonderful Folks Who Brought You Pearl Harbor" - which later became the title of one of his books. A very creative and strange guy.
