First post!

This post is made after I foolishly posted on an Accord site. Acura, Accord, what's the diff? LOL

My wife drives a '94 Vigor with the 2.5 litre five cylinder.

When she pulls up to stoplights, the car dies, but starts right up. As it sounded as though it was an IAC problem, I pulled the IAC valve off and found the screen to be clean and barely even discolored. Obviously, this wasn't the smoking gun I'd hoped it would be.

Does the valve proper become fouled and need to be cleaned?

Any other guidance anyone can give me?

Have you checked the TPS - throttle position sensor?

It was the EGR valve. When I pulled it off, the plunger would barely move, hit it with carb cleaner and threw it in the parts washer and whaddayaknow, it freed up and doesn't die at stoplights any more!
