There is an interesting article in todays Atlanta newspaper about a lady with an unusual business. Her husband restores performance vehicles and she noticed a need that related to his work. She saw wealthy individuals with extremely nice automobiles but no one to look after them or in some cases no place to keep them, especially if they had several. So she opened a facility in an Atlanta surburb with the mission of providing top notch services to top-of-the-line autos and their owners.

She has two master technicians on staff where she stores the cars as well as maintaining them. Every couple of weeks each is taken for a brief drive just to give it a little workout. If service is needed it is performed by the shop or taken to a provider selected by the client. When a client wants to use their car it is ready for pick up or can be delivered. Among the brands stored are Lamborghinis, Ferraris, Maseratis and Ford GT's to name but a few. She also stores non-street legal automobiles as well.

The propritor is selective about her clientele and will not accept a new customer until the client passes an interview. A key to her success is anonymity. Customers must sign a confidentiality agreement in which they pledge not to disclose the location of the facility, what other cars are kept there or the identies of other car owners. Fairly strict rules to say the least!

The going rate is about $450 per month, but that can vary depending upon the level of service or the size of the vehicle. She currently has more that two dozen and poised for further growth.

What a great business model. As the saying goes, "Why didn't I think of that?"

$450 seems very cheap for such nice cars when some people pay $10k just to have them washed.
