In the July 11, 2011 issue of AutoWeek there is a small article concerning the NSX. The title is "What's Next For The NSX?".

It states in part -
Honda still harbors supercar dreams. The successor to the NSX could arrive around 2015.

A fresh generation of the car was canceled in 2008 during a round of belt tightening as Honda grappled with the worldwide financial crisis.

But things seem to be looking up once again and Honda president Takanobu Ito has confirmed that the NSX will arrive in the middle of the decade. It is expected to be powered by a mid-mounted V6 engine developing upward of 400 HP. Look for a hybrid system capable of boosting power by as much as 100 HP delivering top-shelf performance with reasonable economy.

I hope this report has at least a bit of truth in it. In the past, such reports proved very inaccurate. Perhaps this time Honda can pull it off. Frankly waitting from 2005 to 2015 for a folow-up NSX seems excessive to me, even in light of the recession. But hey, I'm not the guy who must answer to investors and make the company a profit...
