Word on the street is that there is new life planned for the DeLorean. A gentleman in Texas has a facility in the works and appears to have secured all of the legal rights, including the O.K. for John Z. himself before he passed away. The price is expected to be approximately $57,500.
I think it was certainly the right car for the movie, but as a sports car it is very lacking. The anemic power and questionable build quality is well known. Hopefully the "new & improved" DeLorean will be just that - new & improved. I do like that brushed stainless steel look, although our NSX aluminum body panels are lighter and better suited for a sports car.
Now about that optional "flux capacitor"???
