I have a 1990 Integra LS Auto. I am having problems with the EGR system. I have 10 volts at the M.A.P. sensor, this value should be 5. I have replaced the EGR Control Valve on the firewall, and tested the EGR lift valve. All are functioning normally, but I have no vacuum at the EGR valve. I have tried 2 separate ECU's but no changes. The only variable that I have not tested is a non working speedometer, but according to all the books and tech this should have no effect on this. Does anyone have any ideas? Anyone ever seen anything like this? Thanks for the help....

So a new computer fixed the EGR problem. I have replaced the speedometer cable and that now works. I put in a new master cylinder and power brake booster and the car seems to run better, this could be due to the fact that the brake booster was full of brake fluid and it was getting into the engine. NOW I have one last problem. I have a thick grey to black smoke at all revs but it increases as the RPM is increased. There is also a great deal of carbon build up, I have performed a full tune-up. I think this is a fuel delivery or air mixture problem. Has anyone seen this before? What could be the cause? I hope the above info helps as I would hate to see anyone else stuck like me.....

I found that a great thing to get rid of carbon build-up is seamfoam, some people say it doesn't work, but i used it in my beater ejtta and noticed a huge difference hope this helps with that.
