I was looking over the list of accessories available for the MDX to see if I saw anything I could get for my wife's car for the holidays. (Am I ever the romantic husband - forget jewelry, money and those other mundane gifts and go for the practical, an accessory for her car. Nothing heats up a woman's heart faster than an all-season floor mat for her automobile!)
Anyway I see that there is an official Acura frist aid kit available as an option for the MDX, RL & RDX, although it is the same kit and obviously would work for any model. Probably work for a Kia too...
It looks like a nice one with all your basic tools - gloves, scissors, gauze, tape, bandaids, book along with an Acura checklist of sorts. I guess the list printed with the Acura logo and the Acura logo on the case are what make it "official". The zipper soft side kit with pockets is nice, and all of this for only $29.99.
This reminds me of many of the Mercedes we formerly drove where M-B included a factory first aid kit in the section by the rear window. On one of ours all of the wording was in German! For extra safety I once had a European "grey market" SLC that also included a fire extinguisher under the driver seat. That should have been a standard item with every Ford Pinto!
