O.K., I know this sounds like a headline from the "National Enquirer", but I checked it out and it is legitimate.
It seems that Charles and Linda Everson were driving back to their hotel in Washington state when their minivan was struck by a falling object - a 600 pound cow! Forutnately the Eversons, of Westland, Michigan, were unhurt but the cow, which had fallen off a cliff, had to be euthanized.
Can you imagine your thought processes if you were driving down the road when a 600 pound cow suddenly just fell on your van? And then when you tell your friends what happened to the van, none would believe you and attribute it to lack of sobriety.
Even more tragic would be if someone were killed in such an incident. Not something you want to pass down to the grandkids about how Mom & Pop met thier demise.
Now if this were a story from the "National Enquirer" it would end with the cow getting off the van and walking back up the hill, or perhaps aliens would be involved.
A strange but true bit of Ameircana and I thought I would pass it along.
