2006 TL Winter Tire Sizing?

I just purchased a set of winter tires for my Acura TL 06 from Steelcase Mags n' Tires.

An Acura dealership parts dept advised that the size for a 16" rim is 225 55 16". Steelcase said that based on the manuals they use and previous 06 TL's, they recommended P205/ 60R 16".

Does anyone have some experience or input into my dilemma?

Hi Chew,

Well according to my book Acura tells me to use a 225/55R16 when dropping down a size for snow tires on the TL.

However the good news is either of the sizes you mentioned will work.

The overall diameter of the 225 is 36.63"
The overall diameter of the 205 is 36.50"

Thanks Randy for the info!!. The tire guy also mentioned that there is about 1/16 of an inch difference. At least I don't have to go back and exchange them.
