On the Formula One scene, Ross Brawn formerly of Ferrari fame has been announced as Honda Team Principal! Brawn arrives with an excellent resume including successful stints with Ferrari and prior to that Benneton. He has often been partnered with Michael Schumacher where the two established records that will take a very long time to break.

Following Honda's rather unspectacular last season something was needed to give the ailing Honda team a boost and this will certainly accomplish that goal. For now it appears that Barrichello and Button will continue as drivers, but with Formula One nothing is written in stone.

Ross Brawn stated that "...my job is now to beat Ferrari". Of course based on the previous season there are quite a few teams to beat before getting to Ferrari.

Honda did add quite a bit of excitement to last season with their spectacular hand-grenading engine performances. Let's hope we have seen the last of those. Ross has his work cut out for him and we wish him and the entire Honda F1 team a safe and successful 2008!

What? Will Alonzo be next? Watch out---if they get this type of team together they could be world champ soon!

Right now Fernando does need a Formula One ride since his split with McLaren-Mercedes. The smart money has him returning to Renault and if that does not materialize then Toyota and Red Bull are options.

However, it is interesting to speculate on the possibility of Honda signing him. After all, who thought Ferrari's Ross Brawn would end up at Honda next year? Stranger things have happened - yea, like Kimi taking the World Championship.

Hey Fernando - "Honda casa- Su casa'
