I currently drive NSX #4 and have been a fan of the NSX since it's inception. Today I took my wife's MDX for a dealer service and happened to look in the bays. There was a '91 black NSX that looked familiar as it had chrome wheels and a Yokohoma window decal. Upon closer inspection I could tell it was my first NSX that I have probably not seen in ten years! The owner is currently out of the country and left it for an A/C service. Now I have a lot of "seat time" in the NSX, probably in excess of 200k miles and this one was sold with approximately 90k if I remember correctly. It now is just under 150k and still looks great! It has a few body blimishes and the drivers seat bolster worn, etc., but in terms of a 16 year old automobile - one that has been driven - it is well preserved. I sat in it and reminisced about some of the memories made in this car. Somewhere in the photo albums I have a shot my daughter took of it's first fill up. I recalled beach trips and mountain trips - and yes, the mountain ones were more fun, at least for me. My wife may disagree as she can be a nervous passenger. There was one time when I had to pick up several hundred tee shirts in it and they were everywhere...including in the rear window over the engine cover! Through that NSX I met many fellow enthuaist and we enjoyed drives, gatherings and friendship. This was a time before the inception of the NSX Club of America. Several of us formed the "Southeast NSX Club", a precurseor of NSXCA. I still wear logoed apparel with the S.E. Club oval logo. It was designed by Gary Milgrom, a mainstay of the NSX community at the time. Perhaps scientist are wrong. Maybe you can go back in time and memories in an NSX will take you there...
