Walt Disney World, the home of Mickey Mouse, tigger and Tinkerbell, has banned young children from its fanciest restaurant. Beginning this week, children under 10 are no longer welcome at Victoria & Albert's in the Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, the theme park's only restaurant with an AAA five diamond rating.

While this may seem like an odd move on the surface, I personally support the decision to make certain restaurants adult only.

The Disney Resorts at Walt Disney World (FLA) are many (20 -30) and each one has on average of 2-3 resturants. That doesn't include any of the resturants in the 4 parks (many) or those at Downtown Disney. Bottom line, there are hundreds of resturants on the WDW property and I think making one or two adult only is a good idea. My wife and I are part of the Disney Vacation Club timeshare and have went down there many times as a couple with no children. Now with our first child on the way, we are looking forward to future trips but it would be nice to have a resturants just for adults.

Smart business decision in my opinion, but just my 0.02,
Stephen

When you put it that way it makes sense.

It's been a while since we have been to Disney World, although we have visited Disneyland in California and took the kids to Tokyo Disneyland.

The one in Japan was strange. For many of the rides you wear a headset to hear in English. A bit unusual to hear "It's A Small World" in Japanese.
