HOLY COW that is sharp! Looks great! Kinda looks like a Koenigsegg! The US never knew the NSX Type R, so we won't miss it! I wish the US would get some of those limited editions.

It does look good but there is no telling how much it will get butchered, by the time it hits production.

I believe that picture is the HSC concept that was scrapped. Hopefully, the "scrapping" of that design was just some smoke and mirrors by Honda and the production version will be close to it. I can't find a picture of it now, but there was a FR GT-Style prototype that was unveiled a little while back that was reported to be "the new NSX" that was supposed to have the V10 and sh-awd system.

I still think I'm the only one who is betting on Honda releasing a super GT styled car aimed at MB/Lexus/Aston with the rumored V10 and then following that up maybe a year later with a V6 or V8 powered MR car that would look more like the NSX...

I wish they would give it a V6 turbo, or a twin turbo. I love turbos.

I agree - I'm looking forward to the "rumor" of a TSX Coupe with the RDX engine (or a variation of that) and sh-AWD

According to page 23 of the November issue of Road & Track Magazine, the next NSX will be the 2011 model (due out in 2010) and it will be a SH-AWD, 500 hp V-10, front engine, rear wheel drive, semi-automatic paddle-shifter...................for only $130,000!

According to several auto magazines 2010 & 2011 are shapping up to be a banner year for exotic and near exotic cars. Among those expected to debute are: Ferrari with an Enzo like car as well as the Dino / Aston Martin Rapide / Maserati Spyder / next gen Corvette / McLaren supercar / Porsche Boxter / Audi R4 / Lexus GS-F / Nissan 370Z / Jaguar XJ...and hopefully by then the replacement NSX. While some of these compete in different market segments, there will be head-to-head competition on many fronts.

Looks like if there were any way for Acura / Honda to speed the NSX into production prior to that it could really help sales. There is a finite number of folkes with the interest and where with all to buy cars in these market segments. The first one out gets a head start at their pocket book.

So many sports car options...so limited resources...

The HSC also was rumored to be another longitudely mounted V6.. I'm not even sure it ever had a engine in it.. much less the V10.. but I'll cry the same thing just about everyone is crying.. I WANT MID ENGINE DAMMIT!

I really hope they dont make a FR V10 GT car and call that a NSX.. it would probably make Mr. Honda (rip) and Mr. Senna (rip) turn in their graves. Keep the NSX what it is, a pure track exotic thats able to be a daily driver.

I agree, but sometimes change is enevitable. What ever they decide, I'm sure it will be top notch or else there won't be an Acura logo on it!

One of our Technicians attended a 2 day technical course the other day.

He tells me the instructor said the next generation NSX will be a front engine all wheel drive and produce 5-600 HP.

A little vague I know and had I known he was going to get some inside info I would have coached him.:)

The conversation came up when they talked about clearance in engine bays for repairs and maintenance.

He said...

"Technicians are going to hate working on these cars because they are packed in very tight!!"
